Preview Trailer ideas

My topic is about the decline of Magazines because of the internet. Why would someone buy a magazine if they could look at it for free? I am going to focus on Fashion magazines in particular. In my preview I want to have background music that is upbeat and that sounds like it could be used on a runway. In either text or someone speaking I want the preview to just present a few questions while flashing some of the big magazine titles and how they are doing with magazine sales and their website. I have a lot to work with so it should be no problem to put together a preview.

Topic Choices?

I'm not quite sure what I am going to choose as a topic, I was thinking maybe writing about the "zine," or how magazines probably aren't selling as well as they once did because of internet resources. I have also considered writing about how social networking sites such as facebook or myspace can help younger participants to use these resources to bully. Not really sure which direction i'm going to take.

Plagiarism or Not Plagiarsm, What is The Answer?

In Edward Tenners article, "The Rise of the Plagiosphere," I was confronted with the question of originality in my own writing. I feel as if someone in the world could be thinking something very similar to me after reading this article, and posting a similar response in any type of document. Is this plagiarism? It says that the new programs will be able to detect when the document as a whole can detect non verbatim plagiarism. I feel that plagiarism is wrong and copying another persons work is wrong, however, I feel that someone could be wrongfully accused after just merely having the same thoughts. Will a device be made someday that records our thoughts and then we will be punished for having the same? What if someone subconsciously wrote something that they thought was their own work, when years before they read something similar. Are mistakes allowed?

In Class Post

Welcome to my blog!
I am absolutely a digital native, my entire family has been long time users of digital resources. I even communicate with my 80 year old grandparents through email. My grandfather is an engineer that writes computer programs!
I can't place my finger on a particular point where I started using the web, because I remember it always being in my life but I would have to say I started using it regularly when I downloaded aim instant messenger. I was one of the first of my friends, I convinced my school friends to get the program too - and we all started chatting on the computer.
If I didn't have my lap top or iPod touch with me I would probably be lost! I need the internet to survive, it's how I do everything. I check the weather, I talk to my friends and family on facebook, I use email to communicate with my boss for my internship. I thoroughly enjoy using the internet, however, it is nice to have a break from it sometimes and experience "real life."
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! I use pretty much every technological tool regularly in my life. I do have a blog, I have a facebook, a myspace (although I don't really use it that much anymore), I find it easier to text people than to call to save time. I can't imagine not using the internet!?

Do you buy magazines?
